If you have Mac OS Mountain Lion, by now, chances are that you’ve experienced the nuisance of notifications from Facebook, the Calendar and alike during business meetings or a presentation. Although notifications are good for yourself they can quite distract other people.
So here’s a quick tip to disable the Mac OS Mountain Lion Notification Center Notifications (wow!):
- Open Notification Center (ie: by swiping two fingers from the right edge to the left of your trackpad)
- Scroll the Notification Center sidebar down
- A “Show alerts and banners” switch will show up. Click it to the “off” position to disable the notifications for the rest of the day
You’re now (temporarily, the rest of the day) saved from any notification until you put it back on or it’s another shiny day again.
Done deal, right?
